Magnolia

Magnolia

This Magnolia is probably the most recognisable of the species, often called the Tulip Tree.

This one is in our communal gardens here and I really loved how the blooms’ shape and colour was set off by the pink cherry blossom flowering beside it.

I’ll be bringing you much more throughout the year from our beautiful gardens 🙂

  1. I love magnolias. We had one in the communal garden where we lived in Haslemere. The sight of it blooming in early spring was always so welcome.

  2. Used to!
Visited Wisley regularly for several years, but now at the other side of the country – Shropshire. I do get to visit when I go to my daughter’s in Surrey, but last week there wasn’t much happening in the borders. Surprising what a bit of sunshine can do!
