The leaves embrace
Translucent beads of life
Daily Prompt: Green-Eyed Monster
Tell us about the last time you were really, truly jealous of someone. Did you act on it? Did it hurt your relationship?
Photographers, show us something GREEN.
Well, after the prompt today, I have to admit to you all that I was recently exceedingly envious of the photo, blogger, Paul Davis, captured entitled “Poise“!
In answer to today’s question, yes, I did act on it! This is my homage to Paul’s image. With a little Haiku thrown in for good measure 😉
Lovely – the drops looks like green eyes 🙂 Anyway – just checking out the prompt from today – it’s one of my favs thus far!
Oh thank you 🙂 Did you check out Pauls photo too?
I like your photo, too. I don’t know if it’s appropriate to thank someone for her envy, but thanks!
lol 😉 I think I might be looking for that perfect, bejewelled leaf forever! Nature does do some amazing things.
A little envy can lead to inspiration it seems!
I look at that “Poise” photo and think, “Close…” I’d like it better (maybe) if more of the drops were in the focal plane–but then that single drop down on the point would not stand out–but then if that’s the point of the photo, it could be closer to the tic-tac-toe–and if the drops were all in focus, then more of the stem would be, too, and the background wouldn’t be so totally unfocused–so, “Close…” Nature did a great job, we could leave it at that. 🙂
Ha ha ha! We’re all so self critical! Personally I think it’s just right. Love the DOF in it.
