The Lush Layers Of Llangollen

The Lush Layers Of Llangollen

Weekly Photo Challenge: Layers

I had the opportunity to visit beautiful Llangollen, in North Wales, today before going to watch the Rugby League World Cup quarter-final between Australia and the USA in Wrexham.

This post isn’t just about showing you some of the wonderful layers of Llangollen itself, but also peeling back a couple of layers on my own heritage.

My Nain (Welsh for Grandmother) lived in Holyhead, so I’m a quarter Welsh and spent many happy holidays up in this beautiful part of Britain.

I was also born in Australia! So I was delighted to watch my alternate home team in action today with a great win over the USA.

    • It was indeed! All of us were shouting for that try to actually be given to the USA. Most of the crowd from Wales and the North West were all cheering for USA too, we’re all suckers for the under dogs. I’m looking forward to going to the final at Old Trafford πŸ™‚
