On May Bank Holiday Monday we had a family day out at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent. What a fantastic place! The River Len runs through the park with a dam that creates a large lake. The lake is surrounded by about 450 acres of park and woodland gardens.
There’s also a miniature railway within the park that runs on Sunday afternoons and Bank Holidays. It was a great treat for the children! They probably could have sat by the rails all day, watching the trains come round and waving to the drivers. This photo I took of them made me think of The Railway Children! Life is full of simple pleasures 🙂
