W O W !
Thanks so much!!
or not so silent… such great captures Sarah.
Thanks Jude 🙂 Yeah, my little joke! Amazing to hear their booming calls around the park at the moment. Aside from the stags it was so peaceful up there though 😀
Can’t stay silent. Wow, fantastic images!
Thanks Chris 😀 I hope to visit them more during the rut this year!
These photos tell stories… so very moving!
Thanks so much Amy 🙂 It’s a good time of year to be out watching them!
Oh my. These are wonderful photos.
Thanks so much Bruce 🙂 It’s quite magical sitting in the grasses watching them and listening to the booming calls of the stags.
wow so beautiful…lovely captures.
Thanks so much 🙂 They’re such majestic animals and fascinating to watch the group dynamics.
indeed 😀 😀
A lovely warm feel to this image, Sarah.
Thanks Mike 🙂 I love the autumn sunlight for scenes like these! I really hope to get back up to see more of the rut this year.
wonderful capture of him singing!!!
Bugling Elk…not silent. These shots are great!
My elk story, camping out one night, dead asleep in my tent when an otherworldly scream awakened me, so sure the woman in the campsite next to me was being murdered. Covered in a prickly cold sweat, ready to jump to action I realized it wasn’t a ‘cat’ or a human, but an Elk.
Thanks so much 🙂 This is what we call a Red Deer. There are several different species in Richmond Park and the red is the largest. It’s amazing watching them up close! I think I would be a bit freaked out to find a large stag outside my tent at night. They’re pretty handy with those antlers!!
