Source of life itself
Golden roots and boughs mirrored
In endless beauty

Celebrating the beauty of Autumnal trees, this is my entry for this week’s Wex Mondays challenge. I took the photo last Monday in the eerie and wonderful light of the red sun and orange skies, created by the Saharan sand that was blown in by hurricane Ophelia.

    • Thanks Jude πŸ˜€ I really wanted to give a painterly finish. It’s such a wonderful tree and the setting on the bank of the lake is just perfect! I love the sinuous shapes those roots make so getting up close was definitely the best way to capture it πŸ˜ƒ

    • Thanks so much Mark πŸ˜€ I am an avid reader of fantasy and have collected artwork from many of the top illustrators since I was a kid. It’s a continuing influence on my own art and the beauty I see in nature πŸ˜€ Now if could just get myself over to New Zealand!!!

      • Yes, my hubby has just taken a new job that states you can’t take more than two weeks holiday together in the contract! I think I would want at least a month in NZ partly because I have lots of family there and visiting them all would take a while. It’s something that’s probably going to have to wait for many years but I will keep hoping for the opportunity πŸ˜€
