#FeelGoodPhotoOfTheDay – Dreaming
In between sleep and waking
Is this still a dream

I’ve been out of action for two weeks now and I think our Juno is as bored of it all as I am! The antibiotics did improve my throat infection and I finally have my voice back. I only started the correct treatment for the inner ear infection last Thursday though so I’m still a little bit off balance. Hopefully things will improve soon and I’ll be back out there again!

So this is what happens when a coven of six, female creatives gather together for Halloween fun, food and photos! I couldn’t resist getting Nadie to create some poses that I could work a bit of magic into in processing. I even managed to take a couple of spooky selfies!
The weather closed in on us yesterday and scuppered plans for heading outdoors! The cats were equally unimpressed. Once they’d given up on meowing at us to fix the weather, they headed off for a Sunday catnap. This monochrome image is a soft capture, using my 50mm 1.8f lens, of our Juno snoozing on the bed. Juno and her sister, Luna, are actually quite colourful tortoiseshell and white rescue cats but I decided to go mono with this one to reflect they greyness of the day. Photographing the cats was the sum total of work I managed this weekend, so this is my choice for this week’s Fotospeed challenge. Good luck everyone!
Wordless Wednesday and WPC: Unlocking The Landscape Part 3 – The Unexpected
You walk in
Of my mind.
On the periphery
Of visual acuity.
Upon the memory.
The smallest element
Of an image held,
A sensory development,
Processed in neurons,
Burnt upon the retina.
I reflect upon all
That you were that
Cannot be captured
In pixels, paint or prose.
In truth, you had us
I cannot transpose
Your essence which
Remains, in perpetuity
Upon my soul,
A picture of evanescence.
Thanks to Helen for coming round all my local charity shops today, to help me find inspirational pieces to use in my work. So very glad you spotted the glass bowl! Hope you like how I’ve used it today.
I like to call this infamous, neighbourhood cat, Lion. He has a quite an impressive ruff or mane of fur!
We don’t know exactly where he lives but he appears from over one of the fences most days, in order to hunt the birds in our garden.
I’m sure that he would argue that because we put out rather a lot of bird feeders and baths, we are practically inviting him over for an all you can eat buffet!
Today he showed his supposed ambivalence toward me with this spectacular yawn! I moved one step closer and he quickly retreated to higher ground though.
I just want to make friends!
Pixel loves days when the sun is streaming in through the bedroom window in the afternoon. He sprawls out on his blankets soaking up those precious rays and enjoying the added warmth.
Intelligent creatures, cats 😉
He’s the star of the show today as he’s been just lovely. I had a review with a nurse from my care agency today and he was all purrs and rubbing around her legs. Anything for a bit of attention!
He’s grown so much since he came to us four months ago! Not so much “ickle” Pixel these days, much more of a Mega Pixel now 😉
