This photo immediately came to mind for the theme Silhouette. This is one of my earlier forays into music photography, taken in 2008 at GuliFest, of the tribute band The Australian Pink Floyd Show. What a gig!

I’d normally want to keep as much of the sky as possible visible for a sunset photograph. For this weeks challenge I thought I’d frame tonight’s sunset with silhouettes. Hope you like it!
Mum and Dad gave me another cut-out birthday card this year so I thought I’d finish off the week with another silhouetted picture.
I’m a hoarder. I hate throwing things away. Everything can be useful and interesting beyond it’s original purpose. Simon has been trying to reform me. He’s been partially successful.
Some cards are just too lovely to bin though! This was a birthday card from my parents a few years ago and it’s a “cut-out card”.
It made a perfect prop for a silhouette photograph 🙂 Add in some split toning in Lightroom and hey-presto, a brand new piece of art!
I feel this totally justifies my hoarding habits 😉
