so soft and pretty. Great capture
Thank you 🙂 I love alpine plants!
Gorgeous image, Sarah. I love the detail of the flowers and the hairy stems. Very soft and gentle looking.
Thank you 🙂 It’s getting hard to keep finding floral blues at this time of year but there are often blue toned little gems in the alpine house 🙂 I really loved the furry stems too! It’s something that seems to be common on the alpine species and is always delightful when it catches the light 😀
I like your theme of the blue Monday but can see how much of a challenge it is! Does it have to be floral blues or anything blue?
It can be absolutely anything! Sally, who runs the challenge often has an image with just a bit of blue detail in it. For her, it’s about the fun of spotting the colour when she’s out and about but everyone can interpret it in their own way! When I started posting lots of people commented how rare blue flowers are so I try to make an effort to find floral blues when I can 🙂 It’s easy in the summer but winter will find me heading into glasshouses and florists!
Hi Sarah,
Oh, how lovely!
Thanks for playing today.
Have a Beautiful Blue Monday!
My pleasure as always Sally!
Just beautiful, excellent shot.
Thank you 🙂 They’re such tiny little flowers but such a joy to study them close up!
So beautiful, Sarah. I love the soft colours.
Thanks Jenny 🙂 Delicate flowers seemed to need a soft touch!
Your photos are always stunning. On this occasion the soft touch was just lovely. 🙂
Oh bless you Jenny! That means a lot 🙂
Is this borage Sarah? It looks so lovely .. the colour is much loved by the bees. 🙂
It’s a type of alpine violet! All the borage in my garden has long finished flowering now. I grow quite a lot of it especially for the bees 😀 It does need to be kept in check though or it can run a bit wild and my neighbours complain! Many of the alpine plants that I like to photograph have the same hairy look as borage. I love the way the fine hairs catch the light!
Thank you 😃
breath taking.
Thank you so much 🙂
So beautiful. Love this
Thanks Raewyn 🙂 It was a nice find this last weekend and such a contrast to all the autumnal colours outdoors!
Once again, my friend – gorgeous! A
Thanks Adrian 😀
