Ambivalence

I like to call this infamous, neighbourhood cat, Lion. He has a quite an impressive ruff or mane of fur!

We don’t know exactly where he lives but he appears from over one of the fences most days, in order to hunt the birds in our garden.

I’m sure that he would argue that because we put out rather a lot of bird feeders and baths, we are practically inviting him over for an all you can eat buffet!

Today he showed his supposed ambivalence toward me with this spectacular yawn! I moved one step closer and he quickly retreated to higher ground though.

I just want to make friends!
